The Merchandising Operations Associate is responsible for setting up and maintaining products sold through the 1-800-Flowers family of brands. Accuracy in this process is critical as it is how we sell the items to the consumer. This includes responding and actioning all emails in a timely fashion as they pertain to normal daily business as well as communicating any changes to management, SOP or any other pre-established process.
Responsibilities:
- Understand functions of product maintenance and setup
- Interact with Product Development & Merchandising teams to execute and verify product changes such as: retails prices, names, ship dates, ship methods, Bill of Materials and product recipes.
- Interact with Inventory & Planning teams to execute and verify Vendor/product/component shutoffs. As well as order moves and rejects.
- Interact with Vendor Relations team to adjust a vendor cutoff time or shutoff request.
- Responsible for communication to various people in organization regarding stock issues, product changes, such as price, ship method, name, out of stock, etc..
- Balance daily responsibilities with time sensitive/urgent requests such as product code/component code/ setup in oracle, assignment of new vendors to active products. Keeping within the timelines given.
- Demonstrates efficiency by performing procedures rapidly and with accuracy.
- Manages time appropriately.
- Strives to meet departmental goals for completion time including validations
- Participates in departmental quality assurance practices.
- Coordination of data from multiple sources and verification of the integrity of the data
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, written, verbal, and computer literacy skills with advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Ability to work independently with direction from supervisor
- Willing to work off hours and weekends as business needs dictate
- Associates degree acceptable, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Good Time Management Skills
- Type at least 30 words per minute.
The expected hourly pay rate for this position is $24/hour. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law.
