Project Engineer in Mechanical Design---Full-Time Direct Hire
Akkodis, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for a full-time direct and with an industry leader that is growing. The role is located in a south suburb of Cleveland, OH. The Project Engineer will handle mechanical product design and development of custom solutions. Qualified candidates will have 1+ years of educational or on-the-job experience in mechanical engineering and product design and development along with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Salary Range: $70-80K based on experience
Mechanical Project Engineer Job Responsibilities Include :
Design, plan, and develop products and processes by managing project actions between all facilities.
Mechanical design of custom solutions.
Hands-on test, evaluation, and debugging of prototype and production components.
Design and analysis of current and future concept programs.
Perform analysis to develop design options or recommendations for systems and components.
Work prioritization and program management to specifications, schedules and budgets in a results orientated environment.
Report writing, data extrapolation and documentation.
Work on a combination of engineering specialties covering more than one discipline.
Plan and execute complex design and development projects.
Work with limited supervision.
Qualifications:
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
1+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, including 3D CAD/SolidWorks is a plus. Internship and Co-op experience will be considered.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills.
Self-starter who can work with little direction.
Experience in research and development processes for new product development is a plus.
Experience with product development in lab or production environment preferred.
Project management skills and adherence to deadlines is a plus.
Creativity - conceptualize numerous ways to achieve a design and review concepts in a team environment.
Enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and highly innovative, can-do attitude, resourceful problem solver, comfortable in a fast moving and highly dynamic environment.
Must be able to complete multiple tasks effectively, including work prioritization.
