Our client is a privately owned, rapidly growing brand management company dedicated to helping businesses optimize their supply chains, reduce costs, and enhance their brand visibility. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and contribute to their ongoing success. They have nearly 300 employees and exceed $200 million in annual sales.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a member of the senior leadership team participating in key decisions pertaining to the strategic initiatives of the company.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team capable of managing all national accounting processes effectively while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide insightful financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to support decision-making and business planning.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
- Develop and manage cash flow forecasting and planning process and ensure funds availability through daily and weekly cash management.
- Maintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners.
- Supervise the accounting department overseeing the month end close process and ensuring the completion of accurate and timely financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis while leading financial strategy across the organization.
- Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls.
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal financial and tax reporting requirements.
- Serve as a key point of contact for tax advisors and external auditors.
- Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company’s plan for growth and expansion.
- Access and execute strategic financial decisions related to mergers and acquisitions.
- Implement and maintain financial controls and guidelines which optimize cost effectiveness and profitability.
- Oversee technology improvement projects to enhance management information and decision-making
- Develop financial plans, reports and analysis in support of business decisions of the organization.
- Develop and manage a vendor approval and payment process to capture all operating and capital expenditures of the firm.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within a fast-growing organization
- Accounting operations experience with inventory management, sourcing with wholesale manufacturing, and third-party warehousing is critical to the position
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in financial software and tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and ERP implementations a plus
