We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.
Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with at least 5 years of experience in handling commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UCC filings, closing binders, and a comprehensive understanding of commercial real estate law. This role involves working closely with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth execution of real estate transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Management: Assist attorneys with the preparation, review, and organization of documents related to commercial real estate transactions, including purchase agreements, leases, and loan documents.
- UCC Filings: Handle Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings, including preparation, submission, and tracking of UCC-1 and UCC-3 forms.
- Closing Binders: Compile and prepare closing binders, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate for transaction closings.
- Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence tasks, including title and survey review, property research, and verification of legal and financial aspects of transactions.
- Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, lenders, brokers, and other parties involved in transactions to gather information and provide updates.
- Document Management: Organize and maintain electronic and physical files, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with firm protocols.
- Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
- Legal Research: Perform legal research as needed to support transaction processes and provide informed recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal with a focus on commercial real estate transactions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
- Skills: Proficiency in UCC filings, closing binder preparation, and commercial real estate documentation. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Software: Double Time, legal research tools, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and other team members.
