We seek a meticulous VDC Specialist/Engineer to join our team and leverage advanced Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) techniques to drive project success.
Job Summary: The VDC Specialist/Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing project planning, coordination, and execution by effectively using VDC processes and technologies. This role requires a strong focus on building information modeling (BIM) and Revit and experience in electrical or plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a proven track record in managing complex construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage VDC processes and strategies to optimize project outcomes.
- Create and manage detailed Building Information Models (BIM) using Revit for accurate project visualization and coordination.
- Collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to integrate VDC tools effectively.
- Conduct clash detection and resolution using BIM software to identify and mitigate potential design conflicts.
- Provide expertise in electrical or plumbing systems within the BIM environment to ensure system integration and accuracy.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive project documentation and BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform data analysis and provide actionable insights to improve project efficiency and resolve issues.
- Lead VDC training sessions and workshops to enhance team proficiency in VDC tools and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to VDC and BIM.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or Construction Management, or 4+ years of experience in a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in VDC, BIM, or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Expertise in BIM software, particularly Revit, with a strong focus on creating and managing detailed models.
- Experience with electrical or plumbing systems preferred, with the ability to integrate these systems into BIM models effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to project management and model accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with additional VDC/BIM tools and technologies (e.g., Navisworks, BIM 360, Evolve MEP) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., BIM Certification, PMP) are advantageous.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with advanced VDC technologies and techniques, including, LiDAR, VR/AR and 4D/5D modeling.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to VDC and BIM.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex technical information clearly to various stakeholders.

Salary and position will be based on proven experience.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 per year
