Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Type: Full Time, Direct Hire
Salary: $85K base salary
LHH is assisting a real estate client on a search for a Senior Accountant to add to their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
- Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements
- Post journal entries to the general ledger and ensure records are kept in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with month-end close procedures including preparation of account reconciliations and preparation and posting of monthly general journal entries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
- 4+ years' experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
