Position Overview:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for the production of complex aerospace components.
- Design and specify tooling required for production, including machining, forming, and welding operations.
- Prepare comprehensive work instructions (MOTs), setup sheets, and process plans to guide production activities in accordance with ASME Y14.3 standards.
- Create and utilize 3D CAD models for manufacturing and inspection purposes.
- Validate manufacturing plans to ensure alignment with OEM product design requirements and specifications.
- Continuously track and integrate lessons learned to improve future manufacturing engineering requirements.
- Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Analyze manufacturing inspection data to generate recommendations for process and quality enhancements.
- Leverage advanced engineering software and ERP systems for manufacturing planning.
- Ensure adherence to company and industry safety regulations.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced engineers and team members.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Compliance: Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires the employee to be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing mechanical components, with expertise in sheet metal fabrication and welding.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field is highly preferred.
- *echnical Proficiency:** Advanced ability to read and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications, and customer requirements, including contracts.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities within a production environment.
- Communication: Capable of effectively communicating complex information to employees, management, and clients at all levels.
- Organization: Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
- Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams and other collaboration tools.
- Initiative: Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
