Who we are looking for:
The Senior Field Support Technician is a member of the IT support team providing Tier II and Tier III level software, hardware, and network support. The technician provides service and customer support during field visits. Managing all onsite installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks. Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional IT support for regional offices as a desktop support tech person- answering phone calls, emails, walk-ups, and resolving open tickets.
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge of assigned client environments.
- Self-starter with the ability to build working relationships.
- Ability to train and mentor junior support staff.
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple issues simultaneously.
- Drive the technical relationship with assigned clients.
- Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.
- Maintain communication with customers, keeping them informed of issues and resolution status for all tickets in the office.
- Responsible for diligently entering all time and expenses in the ticketing system as they occur.
- Track and maintain inventory of IT equipment in the office.
- Set up equipment for new hires, handle office moves, and coordinate IT/network work with headquarters.
- Support all printers and scanners, as well as video conference setups.
- Move, setup and unload equipment from location to location.
- Regional travel up to 25%
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Five or more years of experience in the IT field
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred but not required
- Should have a flexible schedule that includes working weekends and holidays.
- Application Installation and troubleshooting
- Familiar with Active Directory, File and Print services
- Ability to support Windows 8.1/10
- Experience utilizing remote control software to troubleshoot and resolve PC desktop support issues
- Ability to work within all levels of the organization
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
