We are a diversified agricultural and specialty products company focusing on crop protection, turf and ornamental markets, and public health applications. We are seeking a Compensation & Benefits professional to establish global best practices for compensation and manage relationships with 3rd party service providers. As Head of Compensation and Benefits, you will be a part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial team that will redesign our compensation & benefits plans and establish global standards.
The Role:
Reporting to the CRHO, the Head of Compensation & Benefits will support the organization by establishing and managing global compensation & benefits standards for the entire organization. The role will focus on developing compensation packages, managing relationships with 3rd party service providers, maintaining global compensation standards, and partnering with HR business partners to execute on standards. The role requires an understanding of best-in-class compensation, benefit and bonus structures and how to deploy new packages across a global organization. The Head of Compensation & Benefits must demonstrate deep expertise in establishing new HR practices and introducing new ways of working within the HR function. The role will also require strong communication skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders and the ability to prioritize across a multitude of business priorities.
Responsibilities:
• Design and set standard compensation and benefits packages that align with the organization’s overall strategic goals
• Guarantee consistency of compensation packages across titles and roles
• Analyze compensation packages within the market to ensure American Vanguard offers competitive plans globally
• Manage relationship with 3rd party benefits, payroll service provider (ADP) with a focus on ensuring high service quality at a low cost
• Work alongside HR Business Partners to deploy compensation standards within Business Units and adjust based on individual requirements
• Design and support the annual compensation review process, including merit increases, promotions, and bonus payouts
• Ensure compliance with all relevant compensation-focused regulations
• Coach and develop HR team members at multiple sites and in multiple countries
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with senior stakeholders globally as well as broadly across the organization
Key Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
• 7+ years of work experience as a Compensation & Benefits Manager or in a similar role ideally in a global organization with 500+ employees
• Experience designing and implementing compensation and bonus packages for multiple
functions in multiple locations
• Experience in Public company equity programs and has developed STI/LTI (incentive) plans
• Experience working with 3rd party HR service providers
• US Multi-state
• Global expertise required (International acquisitions and offices)
• Experience effectively manage cultural nuances with local & regional collaborators
• Polished communication skills and experience communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Highly organized with a proven ability to run end to end improvement initiatives to drive results
