CSP is partnering with a reputable event services company to help them identify a Warehouse Manager to add to their team. The Warehouse Manager will oversee all operations within the warehouse, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and distribution of event rental equipment and awnings. The role requires strong organizational and leadership skills to manage a team, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure that all equipment is prepped and ready for delivery to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring the timely and accurate receiving, storage, and dispatch of event rental equipment and awnings.
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of rental items such as tents, chairs, linens, and other event-related inventory.
- Coordinate with the event setup team to ensure that all required items are delivered to event sites on time and in excellent condition.
- Maintain inventory control systems, conducting regular stock checks to ensure accurate inventory levels for rental items and equipment.
- Supervise, train, and lead the warehouse staff, ensuring safety protocols are followed and that work is done efficiently.
- Organize the storage of awnings and ensure their seasonal installation and removal schedule is adhered to.
- Monitor the maintenance of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, trucks, and other machinery to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the sales, event planning, and operations teams to ensure that customer needs are met, and any challenges are addressed quickly.
- Implement strategies for optimizing warehouse space, improving operational efficiency, and reducing costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards within the warehouse.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics, preferably in event rentals or a similar industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in inventory management software and warehouse management systems.
- Knowledge of safety and security practices within a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts (certification preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the event rental industry or awning services.
- Knowledge of the logistics and setup of tents, furniture, and event equipment.
- Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment.
