Job Description:
The Department of Anesthesiology at our Medical Center Client is seeking a CAA to join our established team of Anesthesiologists, CAA’s. The department provides both inpatient and outpatient anesthesia services for a large variety of surgical specialties. The CAA performs, under supervision of an Anesthesiologist, basic roles and functions of an Anesthetist as well as limited actions to be taken in life-threatening emergency conditions.
Responsibilities:
Administer anesthesia under the medical direction of a qualified Anesthesiologist within the education, training, and experience of the anesthetist, including adjusting anesthetic levels on a minute-to-minute basis. These services may include perioperative patient evaluations as well as delegated teaching and research functions
May perform initial acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPT/ALLS) in life-threatening situations as directed by a physician or protocol until the supervising anesthesiologist arrives.
Work Schedule:
No Call, No Weekends, a great work-life balance.
Work schedule is 10 or 13 hr shifts (3-4 days per week)
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant training program or Certification Or, Board Certification Eligible by the NCCAA (National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants)
Registered with the State Medical Board of Ohio
Active BLS Certification
