Overview:
The company are seeking a Senior Architect to join their team. Based in Richmond, VA, the company have a rich history and a strong track record in remodelling, new construction, and light commercial projects. Their focus is on incorporating the historic charm of Virginia and North Carolina into our designs. As they aim to expand and build on their established success, this role offers the opportunity to eventually become the Chief Architect, leading their growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to understand and propose design solutions that meet their requirements.
- Develop design ideas based on client specifications.
- Create detailed budgets and proposals.
- Prepare blueprints and essential construction documents.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout the project.
- Collaborate with construction professionals and project teams.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress.
- Oversee construction administration and manage project finances.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of architectural experience or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- Licensed or pursuing architectural licensure in Virginia; additional licensure in North Carolina is a plus.
- Strong technical drawing skills and proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Advanced understanding of building codes and regulations.
- Exceptional creative and visualization skills.
- Detail-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset for business growth.
- A client portfolio is advantageous but not required.
