Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager with a strong focus on ERP implementation to join our dynamic team. The Operations Manager will oversee the implementation and optimization of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ensuring it aligns with our operational goals and enhances overall efficiency. This role involves managing resources, coordinating with various departments, and driving the successful deployment and utilization of the ERP system. The Operations Manager is a critical position overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs of a distributor. This role involves managing resources, multitasking, working cross-functionally with various departments, and implementing strategies to improve operational processes. The ideal candidate will have distribution industry experience and will have led quotations, project management, purchasing, logistics and warehousing. This is a mid-sized, growing company and as such, the responsibilities are hands-on.
Essential Functions:
· ERP Implementation: Lead the planning, execution, and management of Epicor Prophet21 (P21) ERP implementation project. Deploy P21 throughout multiple departments, understanding its modules, functionalities, and how it integrates with other systems.
· Operational Oversight: Manage and supervise daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
· ERP Data & Documentation: Maintain data integrity. Document processes and procedures of each role within the ERP system.
· Training & Learning: Maintain comprehensive training documentation and deliver training programs. Stay up to date with the latest ERP best practices and troubleshoot issues post-implementation.
· Performance Tracking: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success and identify areas for improvement. Present reports to key stakeholders routinely.
· Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop project teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
· Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
· Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
· Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to meet operational goals and objectives.
· Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate and effectively communicate with other departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to align operational strategies with business goals.
· Flexibility: Adapt to changing project requirements and environments. Performs additional associated duties.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
· Extensive experience in management, operations, and leadership roles is essential. Minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience.
· ERP software proficiency is required, and implementation experience is preferred.
· Distribution industry experience is required.
· Financial Acumen: Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management.
· Project Management: Strong background in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
· Logistics and warehousing: experience leading purchasing, logistics tracking and warehouse operations. Proficiency with documentation and ERP software for inventory management is important.
· Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and motivational skills are crucial.
· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities that lead to growth in revenue and efficiency.
· Ability to maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient distribution practices.
· Solves problems of moderate to high complexity.
· Self-directed and independent, executing duties with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
Physical: Work is full time on site. Primarily sedentary; occasionally walks and/or stands. Reaches with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Light to moderate lifting is required.
Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse, writing and typing, and frequent use of hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, and controls.
Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as
print and other media.
Environment: Primarily works in an indoor office environment that is a dog friendly workplace.

Compensation: Competitive salary rate of pay based on CA marketplace, and end of year performance bonus.
