Responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of products for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.
Essential Duties
- Receives incoming shipments accurately and promptly.
- Accurately places materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner.
- Picks, packs, and ships products in a timely manner.
- Prepares shipping documents according to procedures.
- Reviews all shipments to verify accuracy.
- Performs regular inventory counts and reports issues with inventory accuracy or condition.
- Processing inventory transactions for returned goods.
- Monitors temperature for temperature-controlled products.
- Ensures warehouse/equipment is maintained, organized, and tidy.
- Provides feedback and input to strategic decisions that affect the order fulfillment cycle.
- Collaborates with the Customer Solutions Team to resolve fulfillment issues.
- Provides support and backup for product fulfillment activities, including order entry & review and inventory control activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 10 years’ experience performing similar role in lieu of degree
- 1-2 years shipping/receiving/inventory control experience.
- Ability to effectively present and communicate information to management
- Ability to perform general arithmetics in order to analyze and carry out appropriate inventory transactions.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Demonstrated experience driving an electric pallet jack.
- Experience with inventory management software (e.g. ERP), Sage X3 preferred.
- Hands-on, "get things done" mentality. Thrives in a fast paced, small company environment, is comfortable with high volume of support issues, and multitasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented. Cares deeply about the details.
- Safety-conscious and dedicated to adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
