Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, you’ll have the unique opportunity to lead the legal function, driving meaningful impact across the organization.
They're looking for a strategic legal leader with a strong foundation in labor and employment law, ready to help navigate the complexities of a fast-paced, high-growth environment and contribute to their continued success and innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Offer legal guidance and support to the executive leadership and various departments.
- Manage the company’s labor and employment issues, including policies, disputes, and compliance. Provide advice on employment law matters and mitigate risk in employee relations.
- Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory standards.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements.
- Manage legal disputes and litigation efforts.
- Develop and implement strategies to safeguard the company's legal interests.
- Stay informed about relevant legal updates and offer legal training to staff.
- Oversee relationships with external legal counsel and other key stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited institution + member in good standing of a state bar.
- Minimum 4 years of expertise in both national and state-specific labor and employment laws (strong familiarity with CA-specific laws required).
- Education sector experience - higher education strongly preferred.
- Eager and driven to roll up your sleeves, tackle challenges head-on, and get things done in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent skills in negotiation, communication, and collaboration.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects within set deadlines.
- High standards of ethics and professional integrity.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
Base salary will depend on years of experience, industry experience, location, etc.
