Mapping and Localization Engineer (Multi-Agent SLAM)
As a SLAM engineer, you’ll design and develop localization and mapping systems that enable unmanned ground vehicles to navigate and map their environments accurately in GPS-denied areas. You will specialize in SLAM algorithms, sensor fusion, real-time localization, and mapping, ensuring robots can operate effectively in diverse and challenging environments. You will build a modern SLAM stack and apply that capability in a single-agent and collaborative, multi-agent context.
What we're looking for:
- Experience developing and optimizing SLAM and sensor fusion algorithms for robotic applications
- Proficiency in designing real-time processing pipelines for SLAM
- Experience in fault management for SLAM systems
- Strong skills in Python and/or C++
- BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, robotics, or equivalent experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for security clearance
Bonus Points:
- Experience with unmanned ground vehicles or robotic swarms
- 3D SLAM and dense mapping techniques
- ROS2 Integration
- CI/CD pipelines
