Outside Sales Representative
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing the business by identifying and developing new sales opportunities within the trucking and transportation industry. This role requires a motivated, outgoing individual who is passionate about building client relationships, understanding logistics needs, and providing solutions to meet customer demands.
- Prospect and Generate Leads: Identify potential clients through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct Sales Presentations: Present trucking and transportation solutions tailored to the client?s logistics needs and challenges.
- Territory Management: Develop and manage a sales pipeline for an assigned territory, focusing on growth opportunities.
- Customer Needs Assessment: Meet with clients to understand their transportation needs and provide effective solutions.
- Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential market opportunities to remain competitive.
- Sales Goals: Achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs, contributing to overall company growth.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with operations, dispatch, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery for clients.
- Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with clients and close sales deals.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and revenue forecasts in CRM tools.
- Compliance: Ensure that all sales activities are compliant with industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in sales within the transportation / trucking industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
- Basic knowledge of the trucking and transportation industry is preferred.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
Working Conditions:

- Must be able to work flexible hours, as needed, to meet client demands.
- 100% remote, except visiting clients in the Houston Metroplex
