What You'll Do:
- Diagnose and repair server hardware and software issues to ensure seamless performance.
- Collaborate with partners to understand their unique build needs and deliver flawless servers.
- Test and verify each server's functionality before deployment, ensuring top-quality results.
- Document the repair process, modifications, and results for reference.
- Travel to client sites to troubleshoot and resolve server issues post-deployment.
- Provide both on-site and remote technical support, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
- Handle on-call duties for urgent repair needs, which may include travel to customer sites.
- Stay updated on the latest server technologies to continuously improve service quality.
What You Bring:
- Expertise in server hardware (motherboards, processors, memory, storage) and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in operating systems like Windows Server and Linux.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks independently.
- Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with both partners and customers.
- Flexibility for shifts, overtime, and on-call duties, including travel.
- Ability to lift and handle equipment over 50 lbs.
Preferred Experience & Certifications:
- 3+ years of experience in server repair, with a focus on customized builds.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Windows Server Specialist, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator.
- Manufacturer-specific certifications (EMC, Dell, Cisco, etc.) are a plus.
- A+ certification is also a bonus.
- Experience in customer-facing roles is highly valued.
