Trustpoint One is pleased to assist a full service AmLaw 200 law firm in its search for an experienced e-Discovery Associate Counsel to join the Litigation Support Group and assume firm wide e-Discovery management responsibilities. The position can be based out of Chicago, Cleveland or St. Louis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze, advise and coordinate all aspects of electronic discovery in assigned projects and contribute to strategic decisions during the discovery and planning phases of the matter.
- In consultation with other firm attorneys, be responsible for advising the Litigation Support Department and select Firm clients on best-practices for the collection, retention, review and production of documents and things in connection with litigation, regulatory compliance, subpoena responses and other similar matters.
- Disseminate information about new developments in e-Discovery, including creating, updating, maintaining and distributing a master outline of discovery-related authority and other persuasive materials for use by the Litigation Support Department, including cases, articles and conference reports, and some document review.
Job Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- A license to practice law in the state and federal courts of Ohio, Illinois or Missouri.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant e-Discovery Technology or Litigation Support experience in either a law firm or vendor setting.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Detailed planning and organization skills and a thorough understanding of processes at each stage of the e-Discovery lifecycle;
- Strong service orientation and an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with users, peers, office and Firm management, as well as outside business partners.
- Experience with e-Discovery processing, forensic document collection, litigation holds and other advanced litigation support functions.
- Possess technical knowledge and expertise in leading e-Discovery review tools and platforms.
- Well versed in database searchability and methodology, and a comprehensive knowledge of issues surrounding OCR and extracted text, near native review, predictive coding, e-mail threading and text encoding.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, facilitate solutions and meet deadlines and milestones for assigned projects.
- Flexibility of schedule with some off hour availability.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high ethical standards and strict confidentiality of Firm and client information.
