The Construction Project Manager will execute and oversee infrastructure, commercial and industrial projects from start to finish. He/She will interface directly with subcontractors, tradesmen, stakeholders and owners. In addition, the Construction Project Manager will have oversight for budgets, cost control, construct-ability, adhering to project deadlines and meet time & cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding and contract administration functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Act as primary liaison with construction project manager/architects/engineers/owners for the day-to-day construction activities of the project.
- Direct all phases of a project including programming, schematic design, design development, construction document and construction administration services.
- Assist Sr. project manager with buy-out meeting and prepare subcontracts
- Assist with all projects plans, specifications, Owner Contract, subcontracts, purchase orders, shop drawings, submittals and all other project related documents
- Establish, update, and communicate Master Project Schedule
- Lead preconstruction team in development of project scope.
- Manage the bid process, including qualifying bidders
- Manage budget and financial reporting.
- Manage the QA/QC program and provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions.
- Develop cost-effective solutions due to design conflicts and propose alternate solutions to reduce costs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree plus 5 or more years of related experience
- PMP and/or CCM Certification is a plus
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Procore Certification a plus, but not required
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering principles and techniques.
- Ability understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent with MS Excel and scheduling software such as Procore, MS Project, Timberline, etc.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel can range from a minimum of 30% up to 100% of the time. Extensive travel may be required when the construction site is not within a commutable distance.
