We are seeking a skilled MRO Spare Parts Inventory Specialist to manage all aspects of our maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) spare parts inventory in a pharmaceutical environment. This role will utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Maximo and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system like SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing & Procurement: Identify and source maintenance materials essential for supporting our pharmaceutical operations, establishing a reliable supplier base to ensure competitive pricing, timely delivery, and quality of parts and services.
- Inventory Management: Create purchase requisitions in the ERP system for stock and non-stock items based on demand, ensuring accurate receipt and stocking of materials.
- Stock Management: Proactively order and receive stock items to prevent stock-out conditions, maintaining optimal inventory levels through effective communication with customers.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using ERP and CMMS systems, developing metrics for performance tracking.
- Safety & Compliance: Promote safety awareness, adhere to safety practices, and report hazards. Manage activities related to the cycle count program to ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
- Cross-Training Support: Support Asset Care functions as needed, including processing service requests and procuring materials and services for work orders.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in Inventory Management.
- Prior experience with maintenance management systems, preferably Maximo.
- Experience with purchasing and inventory management in an ERP system, preferably SAP.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in a radiation environment and obtain a forklift license.
Other Requirements:
- Position is site-based in Billerica, MA.
- Availability for after-hours and weekend work as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Microsoft Teams, and other software applications.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills in novel and uncertain situations.
