JOB DESCRIPTION:
The BCBA Clinical Manager (Early Start Program) is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective early start (805/810) operations across a variety of clinical and administrative functions. The position supports the overall clinical quality and assurance of assigned groups by overseeing and delivering the clinical programs under the (805) Global Early Start Program. The BCBA Clinical Manager (Early Start Program) reports directly to the Clinical Director. This is a full time position, the BCBA Clinical Manager (Early Start Program) is expected to be present and manage day to day functions for the early start program during operation hours with some weekend hours as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in psychology, child development, special education, applied behavior analysis, or a related field
- Must be BCBA-certified or hold qualified licensed healthcare professional status (based on state regulations)

Preferred:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with autistic individuals
- Minimum of 2 years developing behavior reduction goals and behavior-analytic skill acquisition plans
- Previous experience as a Behavior Technician implementing ABA treatment plans
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following statements are intended to describe the major elements and requirements of the position and should not be taken as an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of individuals assigned to this job.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Ensures quality clinical service delivery by meeting all minimum supervisory requirements and parent training hours (requirements vary per funder)
- Maintains an average of 5 hours per day of billable clinical time across each month
- Provides monthly supervision to all behavior technicians on their team (maintaining 5% supervision for any Registered Behavior Technicians)
- Develops, monitors, analyzes, and updates client programming on a monthly basis
- Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) as assigned
- Provides guidance and direction to assigned behavior technicians on treatment plan and behavior plan implementation
- Provides establishment of program goals, agendas, protocols, measurement systems, and procedures
- Develops and monitors treatment plan protocols
- Conducts supervision, parent education, adaptive behavior treatment protocol modification based on assigned cases’ authorized treatment hours
- Responds to family/client issues in a timely manner; escalates when necessary
- Responds to critical staff issues in a timely manner; escalates when necessary
- Develops and writes progress reports and submits on time to Clinical Director
- Renders clinical time on CentralReach at the end of each session, including completing session notes to BHW and health plan standards and collecting parent signatures.
- Ensures clinical documentation (both theirs and their Behavior Technicians) meet BHW standards and requirements
- Facilitate and lead monthly PODS (BT mentorship program)
- Support that promotes retention on BT
- Maintains communication with all staff within agency; responds to staff concerns in a timely manner
- Maintains appropriate relationships with supervisors (e.g., supportive and approachable, but maintains leadership role)
- Keeps current with relevant research around behavior-analytic intervention practices, upholds best practice standards, and communicates new research to staff and how best to implement new knowledge
In addition to the above duties the following duties and responsibilities also apply:
- The BCBA Clinical Manager (Early Start Program) will be responsible for covering any assessments that cannot be assigned and provides monthly BCBA oversight to 805 cases.
- Conducts FBAs and assessments as required by the Clinical Director
- Oversee clinical quality of Early Start cases and provide monthly BCBA oversight
- Meet monthly with clinical team to discuss each case (1:1 with associate supervisor)
- Collaborate with Speech and Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist and ensure weekly, bi weekly, monthly and/or bi-monthly consultations occur with family.
- Review initial reports and progress reports
- Serve as liaison between RCOC and BHW; maintaining professional relationships with service coordinators and families.
- Conduct, review, and approve initial assessments (Developmental Evaluations) with accurate levels using DAYC-2 Assessment
- Assign cases to associate supervisors
- Create data book/learn trees based on initial assessment and goals for each client
- Ensure parent training for each client is occurring
- Contact families monthly to discuss progress and any parent concerns and make any recommendations; notify RCD of any cases that need to be escalated (i.e. threatening termination, etc.)
- Create and conduct trainings as necessary
- Attend all RCOC meetings and trainings
