Company/Role Overview:
CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Search has been retained by a Chemical Manufacturing client to identify a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team due to a relocation.
This person will be responsible for partnering across departments, providing decision support, financial modeling and establishing cost standards and key drivers for the company as well as monitoring the operational performance against these standards. This position participates in periodic reviews with Management and reports key data on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
What You’ll Do
- This role will help drive business intelligence activities through development and maintenance of metrics and KPI to assess performance across the organization
- This individual will work on continuous improvement in accuracy, accountability and transparency by developing and connecting operational drivers to performance
- Expertise in assessing, understanding, collecting, developing and analyzing data for departmental and management reporting
- Partnering with multiple stakeholders to help identify and implement best practices across the organization
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs against standards/budget; research and explain variances; report this information as required; highlight issues for management actions
- Participates in budget development, maintenance, reporting and analysis of fixed assets and inventory and other plant activities
- Maintains product pricing/costing models and reports on overall customer profitability
- Timely analyzes and prepares customer/broker rebate obligations
- Perform ad-hoc cost analysis to support business operations
What You’ll Need
- 3-7 years of experience; manufacturing experience is required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA, CPA or CMA desired
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to effectively work with all levels of staff within the company
- Solid planning and organizational skills; able to consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of proficiency using technology (advanced Excel, SAP B1, Red Zone)
- Must demonstrate strong problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
