Job Title: Records Analyst
Location: Lake Forest, IL (On-site)
Position Type: Full-time, Temporary (Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM with flexibility)

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Records Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial for managing the intake, cataloging, and retrieval of physical records at our archive center in Lake Forest, IL. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in records management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Records Intake & Cataloging: Verify accuracy of records, ensuring they are properly boxed, labeled, indexed, and logged using our records management system (Insight).
- Records Retrieval & Delivery: Retrieve and deliver physical records upon request from various departments, ensuring proper handling and maintaining the integrity of records.
- System Management: Operate Insight for electronic records management; familiarity with transitioning to other systems such as Microsoft Purview is a plus.
- Records Center Maintenance: Maintain the organization and security of the records center, ensuring proper filing and storage.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Records Coordinator and other departments as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the remote Records Coordinator, following their guidance for managing records and handling ad hoc tasks.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library or Information Sciences is preferred but not required.
- Equivalent work experience in records management or library sciences will be considered.
Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in records management, with a focus on filing and organization.
- Familiarity with records management software (Insight) is highly preferred. Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar systems is a plus.
Key Skills:

- Ability to handle a high volume of requests and tasks without becoming overwhelmed.

Preferred Experience:
- Background in office administration, particularly in records or library environments.
