Our client, based in Phoenix, AZ, is a leading company in the Electrical Engineering sector. They are currently on the hunt for a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer, specializing in EV Charging Infrastructure, to lead their team and projects.
What you'll be doing…
- Leading and managing EV charging infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Providing expert technical guidance on the design and engineering of EV charging systems, including site selection, electrical distribution, equipment specification, and integration with existing infrastructure.
- Leading and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Collaborating effectively with clients, contractors, utility companies, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Ensuring that all designs and installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local electrical codes, and other relevant safety standards.
- Staying abreast of the latest advancements in EV charging technology and industry trends and incorporating them into project designs and implementation strategies.
- Supporting business development efforts by identifying new project opportunities, preparing proposals, and building relationships with potential clients.
The right person has…
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on EV charging infrastructure.
- A proven track record in project management and team leadership.
- Experience in site lighting or MEP work is highly desirable.
- Expertise in electrical codes and standards, including the NEC.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- A strong understanding of power systems, electrical distribution, and grounding.
- Familiarity with EV charging equipment and protocols (e.g., SAE J1772, CHAdeMO).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
