The Director of Supply Chain Trading will oversee and optimize our supply chain operations with a specific focus on CFM and CF6 engine components. This individual will be a subject matter expert, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure seamless trading activities and supply chain management. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with CFM and CF6 engines, coupled with a proven track record in supply chain trading and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement supply chain strategies for CFM and CF6 components to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Trading Management: Oversee trading operations for CFM and CF6 engine components, ensuring optimal inventory levels, timely procurement, and effective vendor management.
- Expertise Utilization: Leverage in-depth knowledge of CFM and CF6 engines to drive informed decision-making and problem-solving within the supply chain.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and logistics, to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and reliability of supply.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners, negotiating contracts and managing performance to meet company standards.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance supply chain processes to drive efficiencies and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on trading and procurement of CFM and CF6 engine components.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Proven expertise in CFM and CF6 engines, including in-depth knowledge of their supply chain requirements and challenges.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and driving strategic initiatives.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions.
- Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) is a plus.
