I am recruiting for an Electrical Estimator to join an established Commercial Electrical Contractor, based in Dallas.
My client currently work on commercial ground up and remodel projects, valued between $100k - $10m, across the Metroplex.
They work on a variety of buildings, including but not limited to: office space, sports centers, warehouses/depots, restaurants, etc.
Job summary:
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for creating accurate and profitable bid proposals for a variety of commercial projects. In this position you will reviews proposal specifications, drawings, attends pre-bid meetings, and reviews bids together with other estimators, to ensure accuracy.
- Attend pre-bid or team scope review meetings and understand the complete scope of work required, with sometimes limited information.
- Visit construction regional project sites for job walks and meetings.
- Review and understand all project bid documents.
- Locate, notify, and send bid information to subcontractors and vendors for quotations on outsourced work.
- Complete the estimate takeoff, using on-screen computer estimating, within time deadlines.
- Complete change order estimates for awarded projects.
- Work as a team with other estimators, company divisions, and departments.
- Assist field operations with the estimate after bid award & at project closeout.
Package:
- Salary - $110k - $140k, DOE.

Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and construction costs.
- Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, at all levels.
