Job Summary
We seek a skilled Building Automation Systems (BAS) Technician/Programmer with deep expertise in building automation platforms to join our Santa Barbara, CA team. The ideal candidate will possess at least five years of experience in programming and optimizing building automation controls, specifically on Tridium Niagara and Distech platforms. This role focuses on designing, programming, and integrating building automation systems to enhance efficiency, comfort, and performance for various commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize building automation control strategies using Tridium Niagara, Distech, and similar platforms to ensure efficient operations across commercial systems.
- Integrate HVAC, lighting, and other building systems into a cohesive automation platform for smooth communication and functionality.
- Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues in control programming to maintain peak system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to meet technical specifications and deadlines, delivering high-quality automation solutions.
- Maintain detailed, organized documentation of programming tasks, system configurations, and code changes for future reference and compliance.
- Conduct test, commission, and validate BAS systems to confirm proper functionality and alignment with project objectives.
- Provided technical support to clients, effectively addressed concerns, resolved issues, and gathered requirements for system upgrades or modifications.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of hands-on experience in BAS controls programming, emphasizing Tridium Niagara and Distech platforms.
- Expertise in building automation integration, with a deep understanding of commercial systems such as HVAC, lighting, and energy management.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize control sequences for maximum efficiency and performance.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate within a team and interact effectively with clients and project stakeholders.
