Position Summary
- Creatively develops, implements and analyzes outcomes of nursing research studies that contribute to all levels of nursing practice and fosters evidence-based practice (EBP) by nurturing a culture of clinical inquiry to improve patient outcomes, decrease costs, increase patient and employee satisfaction, workforce outcomes and the development of nursing care based on current technology and scientific knowledge.Provides the expertise to facilitate innovation, nursing research, and evidence-based practice and collaborates with other departments to ensure the nursing research process is utilized efficiently and is directed at achieving optimal outcomes.
Education
Current Registered Professional Nurse in New Jersey. PhD in nursing required. National nursing specialty certification required.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in leading nursing research studies, publishing and leading initiatives with goal alignment.
Special Skills
- Demonstrated ability to conduct nursing research and publish. * Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) or equivalent human subject's protection training. * Excellent oral and written communication, and presentation skills. * Demonstrated organizational, critical-thinking, and customer service skills. * Effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities. * Ability to function independently and effectively problem-solve. * Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams. * Working knowledge of the current Magnet Recognition Program. * Advanced statistical database knowledge including Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) IBM.
