Position Overview:
The HR Manager holds a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless day to day operations of all Human Resource and People Operations functions. This role requires a highly skilled and strategic Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic and growing organization. The HR Manager will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with our business objectives, fostering a positive work environment, and driving organizational success.
This role demands an experienced HR professional with exceptional leadership abilities, strong business acumen, and a proven track record in managing all aspects of HR functions. This position requires adept navigation of complex HR procedures and regulations. The HR Manager will play a key role in ensuring compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the HR Manager will partner closely with the operations and finance teams and develop junior Human Resources professionals.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of benefits and their administration, local, state, and federal laws, coupled with exceptional leadership and communication skills. The HR Manager contributes significantly to upholding the division's commitment to operational excellence.
Essential Functions
- Performance Management: Lead the performance management process, providing guidance to managers on setting goals, conducting appraisals, and addressing performance issues. Implement initiatives to boost employee performance and productivity.
- Employee Relations and Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor on HR-related matters, resolving complex employee relations issues, and fostering a positive work environment through effective engagement and recognition programs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Stay abreast of HR best practices and legal requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Onboarding: Oversee a seamless onboarding process to ensure new employees are effectively integrated into the company, enhancing engagement and retention.
- Investigations: Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee complaints and allegations, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Protected and Paid Leaves: Manage and administer protected leave programs (e.g., FMLA, ADA, state paid medical leaves) and paid time off policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and company policies.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures. Effectively communicate policy changes and updates across the organization.
- Compensation and Benefits Management: Oversee the administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs. Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness.
- HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilize HR metrics and data to drive strategic decision-making. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on HR performance and trends.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance and support to ensure the team's success and professional growth.
- Executive Partnership: Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives, serving as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert on HR-related matters.
Qualifications/Special Knowledge Skills
- Extensive knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR management experience.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in employee relations, performance management, regulatory compliance, and compensation and benefits management.
- Previous experience in a leadership role with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing HR team.
