Supply Chain Director
Hybrid (3/2) position based in LaGrange, GA
Direct reports: 2; Purchasing Manager, Warehouse Manager
Reports to: Senior VP of Operations
Target Starting Salary: $150,000-$175,000/year
Management Bonus: 20%
Overview:
We are searching for a Supply Chair Director who is eager to maintain the integrity of the company's materials management function including product costs/vendor negotiations, and inventory control/accuracy. This individual will ultimately be responsible for purchasing and managing all parts and materials.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and execute processes that support inventory forecasting, planning, and control across all lines of business.
- Implement and execute inventory planning strategy and tactics that support the continuous supply of required materials and flawless delivery, aiming at total customer satisfaction and sales growth.
- Maintain the required inventory to run the production and sales process smoothly while optimizing QCD.
- Promote the application of best practices related to inventory management across all lines of business, using corporate systems and developing cross-division collaboration.
- Own the continuous improvement process to meet stretched OTD, stock coverage, customer satisfaction, and cost reduction targets.
- Develop and implement a roadmap for make-or-buy long/short-term purchasing agreements for direct and indirect categories (including, but not limited to, services, maintenance, freight, and logistics).
- Perform and publish root cause analyses on key metrics including Customer Service Levels, Supplier performance, and Inventory Management.
- Source and locate suppliers potentially suited to meet the company’s requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in supply chain, business management, or operations management.
- 5-7 years’ experience in procurement and materials management in a manufacturing environment.
- APICS or CPIM certifications or experience preferred.
- Management experience, including budget and personnel responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and developing direct reports.
- Six Sigma experience is a plus.
