Immediate opportunity for an Associate Scientist with a love and genuine interest in working in the laboratory. As an Associate Scientist, you will execute typical lab assays, cell culture and cell-based assays, and corresponding data analysis. This role is supporting the team in execution of in vitro studies in the lab and is working with a leading biotechnnology company located in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsiblities:
- Cell culture (primary cells and cell lines) and aseptic techniques
- ELISA and/or MSD
- Cell-based assays
- Nice to have: flow cytometry experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) and three (3)+ years of experience OR
- Master's Degree (MS) and one (1)+ years of experience in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biology, Cell Biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology or a related subject area.
- Hands-on experience in cell culture and cell-based assays
- Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques like RNA extraction, qPCR and/or dPCR
- Hands-on experience Flow cytometry and multi-parametric analysis (5+ colors) experience, ELISA, MSD (preferred)
- Computer literacy, especially proficiency with GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Previous drug discovery experience
- Attention to detail, translating into high-quality results and experiments recording.
