Position: Data Analyst (Data Analytics)
Location: Miami, FL or Charlotte, NC (REMOTE)
Summary:
- The Data Analyst will work closely with business units and IT teams to ensure data integrity and compliance on Data Analytics initiatives
- The ideal candidate will have a background in Data Analytics, Customer Insights, Business Intelligence, or a related field
- Must have experience with using MS Excel to understand and build complex spreadsheets and analysis
- This position is Remote, with occasional travel to Miami, FL or Charlotte, NC
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop breadth of expertise across business domain and can navigate the company’s Data Warehouse
- Ensure data integrity and analyze business performance using data across data sources
- Explore unstructured (open-ended text/speech) and structured (surveys) data
- Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make the data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across datasets
- Document and measure progress and business performance against project outcomes and goals to ensure experience gaps have been resolved and the customer journey is improved
- Work closely with project managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
- Interpret and communicate complex ideas and findings into meaningful insights easily understood by audiences of varying levels of seniority and analytical understanding
- Ensure deadlines are met and proactively communicate when deadlines are at risk
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Customer Insights, Business Intelligence, or a related field, preferably working with large datasets from multiple sources
- Must have experience with using MS Excel to understand and build complex spreadsheets and analysis
- A mindset geared toward back-end of innovation and a willingness to ask tough business questions and challenge the status quo
- Demonstrated success in uncovering and solving challenging customer issues in a dynamic business setting and delivering high quality results in a challenging environment
- Curiosity to explore complex and customer focused qualitative/quantitative data sets, experimenting to see what insights it uncovers
- Ability to transform complex ideas into easily understood concepts
- Demonstrated ability to utilize advanced analytic techniques and develop strategic frameworks to synthesize insights from multiple data sources
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to complete tasks and identify solutions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; equivalent real-world work experience will be considered
- Experience working with SQL is preferred
- Experience working with Financial data is preferred
- Experience working with Salesforce data structures is preferred
- Experience working with Oracle NetSuite data structures is preferred
