The Machinery Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing or replacing defective parts to maintain production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Repair and replace defective parts and components using hand and power tools.
- Perform performance tests and adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Follow safety protocols and manufacturer’s instructions to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and supervisors to address complex issues.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices to diagnose problems.
- Ensure cleanliness of machinery and components using appropriate cleaning tools and solvents.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in machinery maintenance or a related field.
- High school diploma or GED; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
