Role Summary:
The role of Engineering will be to work closely with Sales, and Internal and External Customers to ensure that customer’s requirements are met. In this role you will work systematically to make informed decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
The Engineer role is based out of the Northwest Office in Houston, TX. The Engineering role is responsible for the technical accuracy and quality of mechanical drawings, BOMs, and delivery of all the client’s engineering needs. As an Engineer, you will play a critical role in engineering development, maintaining schedules, quality, client specifications, design drafting packages, and new approaches to streamline deliverables, as well as editing and reviewing various high-level content. You will also be responsible for supporting other internal clients, including Project Managers, Product Managers, Sales, and Marketing on various needs specific to gas compression projects.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate customers’ natural gas and diesel engines and provide engineered solutions to upgrade from portfolio.
- Adapt the technology package to customer, site, and unit-specific requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers during project execution and willingness to support cross-functional teams.
- Must possess a strong desire to learn, investigate, and provide technical solutions to upgrade engine equipment for emissions improvement.
- Must have the ability to lead assigned projects as an Application Engineer for engine and compressor overhauls and upgrades.
- Must be humble, willing to accept responsibility, and work to find solutions to complex technical issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or another engineering or technical field with mechanical work experience.
- Must have 2+ years of work experience in a mechanical engineering or related field
- Have knowledge of oilfields, production facilities, and compression operations.
- Reciprocating equipment experience in engines, engine control systems, and emissions equipment is a plus, a willingness to learn is required.
- Familiarity with the design and operations of reciprocating compressors and internal combustion engines and their sub-assemblies is a plus, a willingness to learn is required.
