A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Legal Operations Assistant for our client in the McLean, VA area.
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: Onsite during training for first couple of weeks then transitions to hybrid schedule 2-3 days per week onsite.
- Schedule: 8/9am - 4:30/5:30pm EST
Responsibilities:
The Legal Operations Assistant will be responsible for:
- Daily record keeping with electronic and hard copy filing of documents.
- Obtain relevant information from other organizations or agencies.
- Create and organize information and generate reference tools for easy use by the office.
- Prepare and format legal and management reports.
- Maintain and update databases and tracking systems.
- Respond to case-related inquiries.
- Ensure efficient and effective administrative information and assistance.
- Analyze legal requests received to correctly categorize and determine validity and applicability.
- Identify and escalate high priority and high-risk cases for review.
- Manage workload and priorities to ensure court-imposed and other legal deadlines are met and assigned documents receive appropriate response.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience in a legal environment.
- Exposure to or knowledge of Subpoenas.
- Analytical thinker with detailed research proficiencies.
- Ability to grasp and interpret legal documents.
- Systematic knowledge of databases and tracking systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or related field.
