Electrical/Systems Development Engineers, Battery Development –
We’re seeking dynamic Electrical/Systems Development Engineers in Battery Development to join our team and contribute as key individual contributors for a cutting-edge R&D project. Be a part of an incredible innovation task force within a leading, global automotive company.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in high-voltage electrical systems, battery technologies, and power conversion, with a proven ability to drive innovative solutions from concept through implementation. This role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that battery systems meet all performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and integration of battery systems, including:
- System architecture, requirements, and functions
- System integration and validation
- Safety design and compliance with applicable standards
- Analysis reviews and technical documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to manage system design, development timelines, and project milestones.
- Oversee the development of both high-voltage and low-voltage battery systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct testing and validation of battery systems to meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Ensure smooth integration of battery systems into overall project infrastructure and work with other engineering disciplines to achieve project goals.
Required Skillset:
- 6+ years of experience in electrical system design and development, particularly in battery systems.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical power systems, power conversion, and battery technologies (e.g., lithium-ion batteries).
- Experience in developing and integrating battery systems for large-scale projects.
- Proven ability to manage projects from concept to completion, including supplier management and milestone tracking.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
