We are actively seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate to join and grow in the PPG organization. The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for keeping track of incoming and outgoing product, adherence to internal QMS standards, and ongoing support with ERP implementation and activities related to quality and shipping.
Requirements:
- Prepare shipping documents using ERP software as directed
- Visually confirm outgoing product has had all necessary processes completed
- Verify gage data readings prior to release
- Use inspection equipment as directed to confirm outgoing products has been processed according to customer specification
- Verifying accuracy and paperwork for castings or product being shipped or received
- Verify, match, and enter data into ERP software to ensure all outgoing product is accounted for according to customer purchase order details
- Verify shipper to customer purchase order for accuracy prior to officially releasing shipments via ERP software
- Receive and verify all incoming shipments via EPR system, including but not limited to:
- Customer product
- Shop supplies
- Raw materials
- Office supplies
- Prepare and secure customer product for shipment
- Distribute castings or materials to the appropriate location.
- Performing general housekeeping and organization of the dock and inventory areas
- Follow all safety regulations
- Move castings / materials by means of truck, tow motor, hand jack, carts or carrying
- Additional support as needed
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- High School diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 or more years of shipping and receiving experience
- Willingness to handle, verify, and inspect metal castings prior to shipment
- Ability to utilize various software including MS Excel and scanning software / equipment
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
- Valid driver license
- Good driving record
Schedule
- Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 6:00PM
Compensation details: 18-20 Hourly Wage
