Title: Regenerative Research Faculty
Location: Pensacola, FL
Compensation: $150-200K
Job Description:
A client to Insight Global is seeking an experienced professional for the new role of Regenerative Medicine Research Faculty (RMRF). The RMRF will be expected to develop and expand new ideas and protocols in collaboration with corporate and physician/clinical partners, and will be responsible for study implementation, evaluation, and publishing of results. The RMRF will also provide technical skills training and scientific guidance to clinical investigators and assist with problem solving and data evaluations. Reporting to the Director of Research and Development, this critical role will lead grant proposal planning and writing, oversee day to day laboratory activities and ensure that all laboratory procedures are performed properly and in adherence to regulation.
- Development of research priorities and proposals in regenerative medicine
- Oversee analysis on studies to include cell culturing, cell differentiation, flow cytometry, hemocytometry, and ELISA testing
- Provides scientific/technical expertise, training, and mentoring to team
- Provides guidance on the work scope and timeline for proposed research projects and feasibility requests
- Oversees laboratory equipment maintenance and inventory
- Responsible for physician/clinician and team education including GCP training, new programming and research techniques for professionals conducting scientific research or research to facilitate clinical improvements, capture outcomes, or for professional journal publication
- Serves as a technical expert for the campus and conducts study development, implementation, and analyses
- Assist with R/SAS/SPSS programming and analysis as needed for research studies
- Collaborates with physicians/clinicians, residents, fellows, and clinical research staff on research projects, tasks, and protocol development
- Contributes to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and reference materials
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the essential functions of the job and operational needs of the department
Required Skills
- Ph.D. in biological sciences or related field(s)
- Demonstrated experience with: leading research program development, grant writing/proposal, medical research and/or sports medicine setting including lab experience, and performing research with stem cells and other tissues
- Knowledge of tissue regrowth and stem cell therapies
- Knowledge of protocol development and Institutional Review Board submission process
- Experience with multiple software applications in research data collection for medical outcomes, sports medicine and/or biomedical research
Preferred Skills
- Strong publication record (5+ peer reviewed journal articles)
- Strong background in statistical analysis of medical outcomes, sports medicine and/or biomechanical research
- Demonstrated background in research procedures including data collection management, sports medicine and/or biomedical research
- Programming experience with R, SAS and/or SPSS
- Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist or Certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist
