Mechanical CAD Designer/Drafter

Requirements:
The Designer will work onsite, hybrid or remote under limited supervision to prepare mechanical designs and drawings utilizing NX1980 and Teamcenter, correctly applying the ASME Y14.5-M-1994 (or higher) GD&T standard. This work will be done to support projects within APS-TD (PIP-II, LCLS-II, LCLS-II HE, Accelerator Support, LHC AUP, SRF, SC Magnets). The work will be done using Design/Drafting procedures, working to meet project schedules and other requirements, and will include working directly with the engineering staff working on the projects to research and analyze design solutions, coordinate design development, and specify and select design components and materials.
Deliverables:
• Design tolerance and stack up calculations, layout designs, detailing, advanced level 3D models, and 2D drawings required for the project.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality work within deadline-driven projects, ensuring designs and drawings are accurate and completed promptly according to the assigned tasks. Simple tasks should be finished within hours, not days, while maintaining flexibility for modifications and adhering to best practices.
Deliverable Format and Quantity:
3D models and 2D drawings are completed in NX1980, managed in Teamcenter.
