This role is crucial in optimizing their warehouse management systems to ensure smooth operations and efficient order fulfillment.
Job Summary: As a HighJump WMS SQL Developer, you will play a key role in enhancing their warehouse management capabilities through effective SQL development and database management. You will work closely with our logistics and operations teams to streamline processes, improve data integrity, and support our growing business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support HighJump WMS and its integration with our ERP and e-commerce systems.
- Collaborate with the operations, IT, and business analysis teams to gather requirements and create SQL solutions that address specific warehouse and inventory challenges.
- Optimize database performance, ensuring rapid retrieval of data for reporting and analysis purposes, particularly related to inventory management and order processing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any database-related issues that arise, ensuring minimal impact on warehouse operations and customer satisfaction.
- Document database designs, SQL scripts, and data models for future reference and compliance purposes.
- Assist in system upgrades, ensuring the integrity and security of data throughout the process.
- Provide training and support to team members on SQL-related queries and reporting tools.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in SQL development and warehouse management to continuously improve our systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a SQL Developer, preferably with experience in HighJump WMS or related warehouse management systems.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance.
- Familiarity with the HighJump WMS architecture and data structures is advantageous.
- Experience with database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams effectively.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
