We are seeking a Director of Global Sustainability to join our growing team to play a crucial role in shaping our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy. We are committed to driving meaningful change and enhancing our global sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- ESG Strategy Leadership: Collaborate closely with the ESG working group to develop, implement, and monitor our ESG goals, initiatives, and policies. Lead the Global ESG Working Group and drive progress towards our sustainability objectives.
- Internal and External Communications: Oversee all communications related to ESG matters, ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging both internally and externally.
- Progress Reporting: Track and report on our company’s ESG progress to senior leadership, the Governance Committee, and the Board. Provide insights and updates on our sustainability profile.
- Policy Development: Assess, analyze, and propose enhancements to company policies and processes in alignment with our sustainability commitments. Draft and implement organizational policies that promote environmental stewardship.
- Creative Solutions: Identify innovative approaches to balance business objectives with environmental responsibilities. Propose and execute strategies addressing people, community, environmental, and governance concerns.
- Program Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of our sustainability programs, recommending and implementing improvements to align strategy with operational execution.
- Expertise and Research: Provide subject matter expertise on environmental and sustainability issues. Conduct research to stay abreast of trends and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and internal environmental laws.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations to the Global ESG Working Group, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders. Maintain comprehensive documentation, including budgets and financial records.
- Training and Development: Identify and facilitate necessary training to support the implementation and understanding of sustainability practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management and sustainability leadership, with a proven track record of high-level decision-making.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly. Strong technical writing skills for creating and managing essential documentation.
- Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking skills to develop effective sustainability solutions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 40% as required.

Pay range: $160,000 - $200,000 based on experience.
