My client, a fast growing solar development company, is seeking a project development manager. This person will lead development of DG solar across the US. The Project Development Manager coordinates with internal teams and manages interconnection approval, permit and secure offtake and program awards on the company's portfolio of Greenfield projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support development activities of solar and energy storage projects from site control feasibility to the start of construction
- Manage and lead development activities by working with internal teams in site acquisition, real estate and title, interconnection, engineering, survey, environmental, offtake, policy and more
- Prioritize, coordinate, review, and track key development deliverables with internal teams and external legal, zoning, environmental, interconnection, and engineering consultants
- Achieve development milestones on time and on budget for projects to successfully move into financing and construction
- Assist in permit application preparation and attend hearings
Minimum Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
- At least 2-3 years of solar project development experience in the DG space
- Project management, organizational, and analytical problem-solving skills
- Understanding of general project finance
