Our client is a leading multifamily development firm specializing in both market-rate and affordable housing projects across the Southeastern United States. They are seeking an experienced Investment/ Development Associate to join their team in based in Nashville.
The Investment/ Development Associate will play a critical role in the company’s investment strategy, focusing on identifying, analyzing, and executing multifamily development opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong finance background, a keen analytical mindset, and a passion for real estate investment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify investment opportunities in multifamily development.
- Perform financial modeling and analysis, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analysis, and investment returns.
- Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the underwriting process, including due diligence on potential acquisitions and partnerships.
- Collaborate with development teams to assess project feasibility and financing options.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and competitive landscape to inform investment decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, lenders, and other industry professionals.
- Travel occasionally to support out of state projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate investment, finance, or a related role.
- Strong financial acumen with proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Familiarity with multifamily development processes and market dynamics is a plus but not required.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Ability to come into a Nashville office 5 days a week (full-time)
In return my client offers great benefits and a base salary of $80,000 - $120,000 DOE
