Position Summary
MayTech Global Investments is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building relationships and driving sales with allocators across intermediary, institutional, and independent investor channels. Partnering with our Head of Distribution, the appropriate candidate will be responsible for supporting current distribution efforts, and proactively identifying new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Proactively drive sales through outbound efforts, and lead prospecting activities across wirehouse, independent, institutional, and home office relationships.
- Support efforts of Head of Distribution, and align business development activities with key distribution priorities.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to deliver the best client experience. This includes coordinating efforts with Operations, Compliance, Marketing, and Investment Team members.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales materials, presentations, and proposals tailored to specific wirehouse platforms and their advisors. Respond to inquiries from them in a timely and professional manner.
- Meet and exceed sales targets through effective relationship building and strategic sales activities.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial services sales, preferably with a focus on asset management or wealth management. Proven track record of success, and strong working knowledge of asset management distribution, capital markets, and the equity investment landscape.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Team player, willing to take on a range of responsibilities, and contribute in many different ways to the growth and success of MayTech.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong work ethic and a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
