Magnify is excited to announce a NEW opportunity available for a Development Officer to join our RVA area client's marketing team.
The Development Officer is responsible for heading up fundraising programs and events to generate donations, gifts, corporate donations, pledged giving, etc. Additionally, they are responsible for collaboration with Director of Development, as well as the team, in establishing goals for increasing donations/fundraising, creation and implementation of strategies, and organizing teams of volunteers.
This position reports directly to the Director of Development.
Desired Experience/Skillset:
- Previous work in fundraising, preferably within a non-profit organization, establishing goals & strategies, as well as generating donors, sponsors, and acknowledgement
- Project management experience which includes meeting goals/targets
- Experience with managing pledged giving, monthly donations, and individual gift/giving
- Familiarity with fundraising databases/software
- Understanding of fundraising principles
- Strong, professional communication skills – Written and verbal – with potential donors from all levels
- Effective organizational and prioritization skills
- Confident and motivated to meet goals
