There is an immediate opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Director of Engineering to lead a team of passionate and skilled engineers as they develop our next generation SaaS application. You will report to the VP of Engineering and your leadership will be crucial in shaping both the product and the team, ensuring they meet their ambitious engineering goals. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on a high-value, innovative product line. This position is based in Austin, TX, and can be Hybrid or with the Team locally.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, DevOps, and customer support, to ensure successful product development and release.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, tool enhancements, and team development. Drive initiatives that improve efficiency and productivity.
- Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Tackle complex technical challenges and develop creative solutions.
What you NEED to SUCCEED in this high profile role:
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in an engineering director role.
- Some combination of Passion, Experience and Knowledge of the DevOps and Database space
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Strong background in web application development and SaaS architecture, specifically in building and launching SaaS applications.
- Proficiency in our tech stack (TypeScript/React/NodeJS/Express/Java)
- Experience with AWS cloud services and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL) and database change management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills including effective conflict resolution skills and ability to manage team dynamics.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Contributions to open-source projects and familiarity with open-source communities.
