We are representing a FORTUNE 500 Aerospace/Defense organization who is actively seeking a senior level Electrical Engineer due a recent divisional transfer. The Engineering Director is looking to begin the interview process ASAP!
Responsibilities:
- Engineers, designs, installs, commissions, and tests new equipment and equipment upgrades, including capital projects; supervises and directs outside resources when applicable.
- Leads and/or participates in continuous improvement to processes, equipment, and maintenance.
- Assists in problem solving for unplanned downtime.
- Provides technical support for plant operations including maintaining existing product lines and ensuring equipment controls are functioning properly, maintenance support, capital project implementation from concept to validation, and Six Sigma project rollout support.
- Initiates and leads plant teams in the development of process improvements.
- Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems
- Monitors process, including new equipment and tools, to ensure performance to specifications. Implements capital and non-capital projects.
- Identifies causes and develops strategies for eliminating re-occurring downtime.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Degree is preferred)
- Hands-on experience with industrial power supplies, drives, motors, and controls; ability to troubleshoot electrical component controls in an industrial facility
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of PLC programming, Allen Bradley, HMI, and ladder logic required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and work with personnel at all organizational levels.
