Project Superintendent
Position Summary:
As a Project Superintendent at Adams Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects by overseeing the on-site activities, coordinating with subcontractors, and maintaining high standards of quality and communication. You will be responsible for various tasks to ensure the timely and accurate completion of our projects according to Adams Group standards.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Degree or GED
- Must have a clean driving record
- Knowledge of construction industry standards and practices, including quality assurance and project scheduling.
- Detailed understanding of architectural drawings and specifications as well as general terms and conditions of contracts
- Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products
- OSHA 30 Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification preferred, but not required
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities
- Ability to always maintain professional discretion and confidentiality
- Proven experience as a Project Superintendent or in a similar construction management role.
- Proficiency in using field dimension software, such as Plangrid.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective coordination with internal teams and subcontractors.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address project-related challenges promptly.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and schedules.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills for dealing with subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Essential functions:
- Utilize the latest field dimension software (e.g., Plangrid) to obtain accurate field dimensions required for the project's fabrication process and fill out required documentation.
- Perform regular observations and status checks of the jobsite, focusing on milestones at 4-5 weeks before the target install date, and fill out required documentation.
- Identify and communicate any constraints that may hinder the timely initiation of project installation, per room, to the internal team.
- Verbally discuss our delivery dates, install start dates, and project staging locations with the general contractor at each site visit, and fill out required documentation.
- Document appropriate installation work flow plan and record data on required documentation.
- Create detailed weekly plan for both in-house and sub-contractors , to provide greater transparency and clear direction for each day on the job and fill out required documentation.
- Attend all on-site meetings as required by the jobsite schedule, typically on a weekly basis, and fill out required documentation.
- Conduct internal punchlists to confirm that installations meet Adams Group Standards before project completion.
- Update the stamp status in PlanGrid to indicate the completion of installation in each room, keeping internal and external stakeholders informed.
- Maintain and update both internal and customer's external punchlist reports, ensuring that the status of each item is accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with external subcontractors to resolve field issues as they arise, and fill out required documentation.
- Coordinate logistics with install subcontractors, conveying essential information about the jobsite's requirements.
- Communicate any changes in the project schedule promptly to install subcontractors, ensuring alignment with the project timeline.
- Manage and report "Extra Work" tickets generated by the in-house or subcontractor team, providing clear communication to the Adams Group project manager.
- Enforce the 24-hour notice policy with install subcontractors after product shipments, ensuring adequate preparation time.
- Negotiate and/or confirm change orders presented by install subcontractors, in alignment with project specifications and agreements.

Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
