As a Scientist specializing in Nanoparticle Generation with our client, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of their nanoparticle platform technology. Your work will directly contribute to advancing their pipeline of therapies aimed at treating a wide range of immune-mediated and inflammatory conditions. This role will also involve supporting GLP, and Phase I/II GMP manufacture of their Nanoparticles and associated drug substances, so adherence to and understanding of our client's quality guidelines and regulatory guidance where required is critical.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, optimize, and characterize novel nanoparticles designed to encapsulate disease specific antigens for immune modulation.
• Conduct detailed physicochemical and biophysical characterization of nanoparticles to ensure optimal performance.
• Innovate and improve processes for large-scale nanoparticle production, ensuring reproducibility, scalability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including immunologists, chemists, and formulation scientists to integrate nanoparticle design with immune-modifying strategies.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and contribute to the publication of findings in scientific journals and presentations at conferences.
• Ensure that all research and development activities comply with applicable regulatory standards and guidelines.
Qualifications
Training will be provided. Incumbent is expected to have competencies in the areas below, and execute other responsibilities are required per management.
• M.S or higher degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in nanoparticle formulation, with a focus on therapeutic applications in immune-mediated diseases and prior industry and PLGA experience is plus.
• Strong background in nanoparticle synthesis, characterization techniques (e.g., DLS, SEM, UV Vis, HPLC, FTIR) and experience with encapsulation of biological molecules.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop novel approaches to nanoparticle design and overcome complex technical challenges.
